    diagnoses

has anyone ever had their diagnoses change from malignant to benign...then back to malignant ?
    .
....told that you needed chemo, and radiation...and then told you didnt need it before surgery ?
    .
(this is supposedly from 9 different doctors at md anderson....4 out of 9 say "cancerous"...whilst 5 out of 9 doctors say "precancerous")
    .
any information on this would help....i am supposed to get the right lobe of my liver resected this week...without chemo or radiation.

none of these doctors will say one way or the other, has anyone ever heard of something like this before ?

Unfortunately, I have heard of people who were inconclusive. I would say they want to treat you because it is not definitely yes or no, so to be safe they will treat you. My mother had a biopsy for throat cancer 30 years ago and it was negative (yet she had laryngitis). So, her doctor let her heal from the first biopsy, then performed another one which showed that it was indeed cancer. I just had biopsy for thyroid cancer last year. My doctor took 4 biopsies of each nodule in my neck to make sure he had a good sampling.
