Here is a short list of the leaders in the plant based food movement
      Caldwell B. Esselstyn, MD
      T. Colin Campbell
      Rip Esselstyn
      Gene Stone
All of these are great resources. You may have the look(Amazon)
and decide if you are looking more for the research
and science end of it, lay person education, or cookbooks. There are all of the above available.

a quick google search of "awesome vegan blogs" and "awesome vegan books" will yield a TON OF HITS! there are sooooo many books on plant-based diets.

another place to consider is your local library - you can check out a bunch of books and see which ones have recipes you enjoy... then either copy those recipes or purchase the books that you particularly enjoy.

i've been vegetarian for years - with bouts of veganism - and now vegan now for almost two years. but, i'm not a totally anal vegan - i avoid dairy ... but i worry less about a bit of egg here and there. also, i don't worry about honey...

have you read the china study? that's also a fantastic resource. the message in that book that i particularly appreciate is that the plant-based diet is best... but if less than 5% of your calories do come from animal products, don't sweat that less than 5%. so, if i end up eating a bit of egg here and there... i don't sweat it. or, if i'm out for a work function and i don't know what broth a soup was made with... i don't sweat it. so, i guess i'm just a sort of chillax style of vegan. does that make sense? takes a bunch of the stress out.

      i hope this helps...

Do you mean "Forks Over Knives?" There is a website, video, cookbook, who knows what else available, and it's very interesting information. I get e-mail updates from them, and have the video and cookbook. Sure makes sense to me.

Kicking Cancer in the Kitchen is another great book written by two cancer survivors. There is a website and the book can also be found on Amazon. I have found some great recipes and the reading is very encouraging with good recommendations.
