Do you have an "image guided biopsy" scheduled?

Our blog post today has a description of each of the types of biopsies that are normally done. What they are, why they are used, and when. Take a look at the article here>> http://bit.ly/2miG1S3

I had a biopsy yesterday. Bronchoscopy. I’m stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I had 2 lymph nodes behind my trachea. Camera down the throat and ultrasound outside . Glad I was put to sleep for that one.

Are you having to go back into treatment now? I get scoped once a year down the throat and an ultrasound on my neck to monitor my carotid artery flow since I had blockage a few years ago from the carotids getting fried by the radiation. We hope your nodes shrink back down quickly.

Yes I start chemo on Monday. I’m sure mastectomy on other side and radiation. My bones , brain and organs are still clean just several lymph nodes.

I had one of these a few months ago to check a lymph node near my remaining kidney. It was quick and easy with a little twilight anesthesia. A needle was used to collect some tissue and a band aid was all I needed. It was benign and was fine on a scan later. Went home an hour after the biopsy was done with ct imaging.
