Do you look forward to Friday because you know you get the weekend off from treatments?

It's a double good feeling because I don't have to get up and go to work, plus I don't have to go by the center. Bonus! I hope you all have a great weekend! Enjoy!

I remember that. On Fridays, we would leave Memphis and come home for the weekend. It was so nice to be with family, not have to go to treatment, and best of all we weren't in Memphis! But the other side of that was that when it was time to go back to Memphis on Sunday night, I really didn't want to.

I remember that going through radiation for seven weeks. Looked forward to just staying home for a couple of days in a row. That having to get up at six for a seven o'clock pick up got to be a drag real fast. But I was grateful that the hospital had a free service so I didn't have to rely on family or friends to get me there each morning.

CancerChicky, enjoy your weekend!!! If I still worked and if I had to have daily treatments, I would definitely look forward to the weekend!!! I did when I was getting radiation every day.

For nearly 5 years, I have had to go for treatments every two weeks. That's been bad enough!!! After all of this time, I'm soon going to have to only go one time every 4 weeks. That will be like a real vacation.

I remember one Friday during radiation I stopped on the way home and got a pedicure. To celebrate the weekend and two days off. Wishing you a great weekend!

When I retired I thought that every day would be a week end. Not I retired to take care of my parents. Then it was sort of 24/7 Then came cancer. I really learned to appreciate the weekends. Now my life has become 24/7 again. I am so busy planning my move to Olympia that I often overdue and crash.
