Until someone responds with first hand experienc taking Taxotere, here is a link from chemocare.com on the drug and the side effects. Chemocare is a wonderful site because it will also tell you how to manage any side effects you may experience. Another site to check into is www.chemotherapyadvisor.com and this site will tell you the regimens as well. Both are free to join. Also look into www.needymeds.org for valuable coupons for your prescriptions, including chemotherapy. Best of luck to you, Carm RN.

I took Taxotere. The main side effects that I can remember are: low white blood cell count; severe fatigue and mild neuropathy. The worst was definitely the white blood cell count and the fatigue. I had to get the Neulasta shots to boost my white blood cell counts after every infusion. Other than that, it was pretty easy going for me. Best of luck to you.

Good luck with your new treatment plan. Speak with your oncology team about to expect. The center/hospital that I am treated at always gives a print of all the information I need when new cancer meds are prescribed. DD started a dossier.
