Does anyone believe their cancer could have been caused by a laptop computer, e.g., from being placed on their abdomen?

Before I was diagnosed with cancer, I used to lay on the couch with my laptop computer on my abdomen area. The hot area on the bottom of my laptop computer touched the approximate area where my cancer showed up on my lower left abdomen. I always put my laptop computer on a table now and never on myself.

I'm sure someone will say that computers can cause cancer, kind of like cell phones are supposed to, but if you look at it like that, everything in the world we come in contact with COULD cause cancer. I'm not a scientist, or Dr. but I just don't believe that was your problem. My Dr. once told me, if we knew exactly what caused your cancer, we could cure it. It's frustrating not knowing, but I choose to just accept that it is here, lets put our energy into getting rid of it and not on how it got here.
Good luck to you in your journey.

All my tests for the past year have shown no evidence of cancer. My energy is into preventing its return. Just because it has not been proven to cause cancer doesn't that it doesn't. I am not saying it is the only cause of cancer. I am not saying that it causes everyone to have cancer - especially if you place it on a table instead of on your lap or abdomen. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. Anyway, I will for now on put my laptop on a table no matter how much I am ridiculed for it.

I don't mean to be snappy. It's just that I can't even mention that I believe my laptop caused or contributed to my cancer with my husband around. He will just go on and on how silly I am being. Or, if I refuse to put a laptop on my lap he will go on and on about how silly I am being. What's the big deal if I refuse to put my laptop on my lap?

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer earlier this year. I've never used a laptop in my life, nor do I sit with electronic gadgets on my belly. But I have plenty of cancer-free friends who do! I think all of us cancer survivors have, at one time or another, asked the questions, "Why me? How did this happen?". Basically it's a crap shoot, so do what feels comfortable for you. And ignore those who ridicule you - that's just wrong!
