Not strange, but with the AC I was surprised that I even had an appetite. I think the meds, steroids give you an appetite. I was horrible disappointed with the lack of taste. The chemo obliterates your taste buds. Pizza and Mexican food were OK as far as my taste buds are concerned, but chicken and sweets were practically gone. I'm glad that you can enjoy it. ;)

I am glad to hear your appetite is good! I believe I'd try and squeeze in a few more things that are a little more nutritious (:-) but I can relate. I'd get so hungry while on AC that I'd have to get up in the middle of the night and eat half a banana! Nuts. And I could tell that millions of cells were dying - I craved protein, I wanted STEAK! NOW!

I am a chocoholic, but couldn't tolerate it during my chemo. My friends and family couldn't believe what they were seeing when I wouldn't eat it, or worse, try it and spit it out! Instead, I craved lemon. I literally went to the store just looking for things that were lemon-flavored! BTW, now that I'm done chemo, I'm back to being a chocoholic again!

Just the opposite. There were maybe 3 or 4 foods I could tolerate during chemo, every thing else tasted like cardboard at best.

Yes OMG yes....after the initial period of being sick for 6 or 7 days after my ABVD treatment. I would get cravings for salad, certain dressings, sweets etc. I think its all part of the steroids.

I craved lemons- I would peel them and eat them like oranges. I was also on prednisone which majorly increased my appetite and I would always craved fries and milkshakes.

My sons appetite after his chemo treatment and during them is crazy. His is currently receiving GVD chemo which is by far the mildest form he has received. It is bizzare to see him eat so much the day he receives chemo. I now pack a bag of snacks to feed him while he receives his chemo. (He is 22 years old). :)
