      Dear futuredreamer,

I will admit that I haven't in my capacity as a (Medical) Librarian searched for this right now because I have severe doubts that there is. Reason: they would not permit me to purchase life insurance when I was pregnant (which is a normal condition) based on the possibility that I might have required a C-section. Prior to Cancer, after my daughter was old enough so that I did not have to keep paying high premiums for a life insurance policy for her for a very sizeable policy on myself (I was a single mom), when I was diagnosed with just Lupus, I found out it wasn't possible for me to get life insurance because with Lupus the worst case scenario is kidney failure and they always look for worst case scenarios , so I have serious doubts about it.

I can certainly research this a bit later and let you know if I find anything, but if I do it would either be prohibitively expensive or it would be something like Gerber or one of those policies that doesn't ask questions and only pays off enough money to cover funeral expenses.

I'm wondering if you were seeking a more traditional policy or just one for end of life expenses? Sorry to ask such a pointed question, but it will go a ways toward helping me research what you're seeking.

      Best wishes,

To AlizaMLS- it's to cover funeral expenses, I have no dependent and such, but I don't want my mom struggling to pay for a simple funeral. Thanks so much for the help.

Any company that sells life insurance will sell you a policy at any time. As with any type of insurance, the more likely you are to use it, the more the premiums will cost. Car insurance costs more for a Ferrari than a Ford and life insurance costs more for some one who is older and in poorer health than some one who is younger and in good health, but any agent will be happy to sell you a policy at any time.

Christened - here in Ohio we have a guaranteed issue policy BUT it has a two year waiting period before payout. Try checking with the Department of Insurance for your state. Let me know if you need any other info.

Try Globe Life. I've been getting a lot of paperwork from them telling me there is no medical exam required. Also, call Colonial Penn Life Insurance. I know they say you have to be 55 years old or older but I talked to someone there who told me that you can start the process prior to that depending on your age.

Sorry for misspelling your name. Stupid auto correct struck again...
