    Esophageal Cancer post treatment scans

I am out of treatment and surgery since January 2017. I am wondering what others with esophageal cancer or in a similar area what their scan schedules are? One Dr. states a year maybe and one states at the most 6 months apart.

My Dr had me getting scans every 6 months to 5 years. 1 every year to 10.

My Thoracic says every 3 mos for a year, then every 6 for 4 more then we will see.

Since my cancer is stage IV my scans are every year for life. That was until this April, when something strange showed up on my scans. However this looked like it might be my other cancer. So we are watching it with blood tests in three months in 3 months and scans in six months. Having two different cancers sort of complicates things
