Ever wonder what happened to people on this site?

I get this uneasy feeling when I see that a person's account has been inactive for six months or more. I hope they are doing OK, but I am hesitant to ask. Do any of you deal with this or am I just weird?

some people just loose interest in the site after they start getting well, it's not on their mind all the time, then again, it's a fact of life, some of us are not going to make it. Not weird at all.

I don't think it's weird. There are a few people who I've connected with here and also on Facebook, so I keep up with how things are going with them over there. Others just have stopped posting. I think it's human nature to be curious.

I have had the same thoughts when perusing other blogs under the liver cancer heading. I read over the historical postings and would wonder what happened when the posts just stopped. I think that at different times along the journey patients and caregivers crave connections. Through the Imerman Angel Network, I was matched with another mom/caregiver of a young man with liver cancer. We communicated in detail at first, then I didn't reach out to her for some time, and a few months later her son took a turn for the worse and passed away. It's hard to stay in touch after this happens.
