I started on Arimidex and had awful bone pain. After 10 months, I was switched to Femara. There was no improvement so I was switched to Aromasin. Much better!!! I agree- ask for a different med. You'll be on it for a long time.

It depend on the side effects...for joint pain, I got my doc to RX gabapentin....it also helped with night sweats. Walking was helpful as well. I tried all the AI's and side effects were different on each, so you may want to talk to your onc about either Arimidex or Aromasin...or even tamoxifen. all the best to you

I was on Tomoxifen 15 yrs ago so can't take that again. Am on gabapentin now. I will ask about Aromasin. I stopped taking the femora after a week because of the headaches, joint pain, not feeling well, and not being able to sleep. Thank you so much for responding to me.

Doc. put me on Exemestane, can't find it on boards, but I'm doing really well with it except occasionally not feeling well or feeling tired. I can handle that.

I am on Femara. I have joint pain, too. I have Trigger thumb now, tendonitis... Has any one experienced that on Femara?... I was already on gabapentin . 3x daily....also, with Femara, I was told about osteoporosis,so I am eating yogurt, eggs, dark green vegetables and drinking milk. I take calcium with vit. D and D3...Biotin, Co-Q-10, B-6, B-12, magnesium and my daily vitamin. Is anyone taking these and anything else? I am trying to walk on a regular basis.
