    Getting hot

6 weeks post op. When I go shopping or any physical activity I will get extremely hot and start to sweat. I do not believe that it is hot flashes because it doesn't go away until I sit. Any thoughts on this?

Talk to your Dr. about this. If your PCP is knowledgeable about cancer. Cancer plays havoc with our metabolism. Different cancers and different surgeries affect the metabolism in different ways. However if this is a fever it might indicate and infection.

I'm almost 6 years out from total hysterectomy. I don't get traditional hot flashes. Instead, when I'm standing in line at the grocery or do the laundry, I'm suddenly soaking wet w/sweat. It's the weirdest thing. A nurse once told me what it was, but I don't remember... Hmm, not much help, am I? Other than to let you know you are not alone.
