I want to do something nice for the oncology/chemo nurses who have taken such good care of me. Any ideas?

My chemo suite nurses were always bringing food up from the the kitchen or lounge. They had such a great spirit and energy and always made chemo "no so bad". I got a cake decorating friend to make them cookies that said "I (heart) HOG" - Highland's Oncology Group. I also wrote cards and told them how they helped me through the roughest chapter of my life and how their attitude made all the difference. They loved the cookies! Months later I went to check in for blood work (and this is a large clinic) and I saw one of my cards propped up behind the sign-in desk!! It made me feel good to know they felt appreciated and loved.

I bought cute cups with lids and straws and filled them with life savers candy. I made cards that read "thanks for being on my team of life savers" and attached them to the cups. They were a big hit.

I just asked this of the community a couple of weeks ago and had lots of suggestions. Check out my page. I decided to bring in a masseuse at the end of their workday. I am also writing letters of commendations for each of them. Flowers and candy just ain't gonna cut it with me. I wanted to do something different.

When I went back for my 1st 3 month checkup after chemo, it was Christmas/Hannukah timeframe. I made dishes with a variety of candies for each of the chemo stations I was in, as well as the receptionist who booked all my appointments, Lab team who drew all my blood tests, techs who did my vitals, admin who did all my paperwork and my doc and Nurse Practioner. They loved it.

I was thinking of knitting washcloths for my husbands nurses and making a bundle of two with a nice soap. My other thought is Edible Arrangements, but they are pretty spendy
