Has Anybody Like ME NOT taken Chemo and Radiation?

IF SO....did you have intense negative Push Back from Family, Friends and Docs?
How did you cope and how are you doing.

I am doing kind of a combo package right now of chemo and IV vitamin C therapy. There are many docs out there who think the IV vit C therapy is mumbo jumbo but after three cycles of R-CHOP and the Vit C therapy once or twice a week, my PET scan came back clean. When I was diagnosed, the PET lit up like a Christmas tree. My onco wanted me to do two more after the clean PET but I agreed to only one and to continue the Vit C therapy for a least two more months. For Lymphoma the IV Vit C therapy has been demonstrated to be extremely effective and without any horrible side effects!!!

I wish I could get IV C but I live in a small town in central Florida and I can't find that anyplace....PLUS it's more money that I can afford. $100,000 they will pay for Poison but nothing for something like this....ugh

R-CHOP was fine. I'm not saying I'd choose it for my next vacation, but it was nowhere near the sad, sickness-filled existence I anticipated, and I actually was able to make it a very positive, fun experience. My last chemo session was in December, and I think I've enjoyed every day since then at least twice as much as I did every day that came before.

As for the financial cost, well, we're dealing with that. I like living long enough to complain about it.

We all have to make our own choices. Barry, I am really happy for you that you are so at peace with the road you've chosen. For those of us who take a chance on treating our cancer, the road can get bumpy -- my life's road has always had potholes -- but I'm enjoying a nice, long ride. To each their own.
