I don't think you will get any positive responses to this since Arimidex hasn't been on the market quite that long.

I have been on Arimidex for 10+ years. Since the studies are not yet available for this length of time, my oncologist is now taking me off. There could be serious heart damage issues, etc. in the furture and they want "to do no harm'" I have done amazingly well on it. A little nervous going off. Just wanted to talk with others who've had this length of Arimidex. There are some out there. :+)

Yes, it has definitely been around that long ... I'm also due to go off it after ten years very soon, and also a little nervous as I am now a ten-year stage IIB cancer survivor! Have you any research sources you can share in regards to any studies done on using aromatose inhibitors for more than ten years?

I've just come off arimidex after 10 yrs. I gained 35 lbs, had major sweats and hot flashes, joint and nerve pain in hands and feet, chest discomfort, vision changes including cataracts. The sweats really affected me in my social interactions. I have been looking for people who might be 10 yrs out and coming off it to see what kind of changes they are going through....really hoping weight loss is one of them.
