Has anyone gone through a detox program after chemo and radiation either at a spa or at home?

Has anyone gone through a detox program after chemo and radiation either at a spa or at home?
I would be interested in a spa located in California or a good reference book or website that will walk me through it safely. Thank you.

I am sure a Spa would be nice. Most important is to stay on a healthy life journey now! Try to stay free from as much negative stress as possible, eat healthy, exercise, get enough sleep and find your joy in the simple things in life. Our bodies are amazing! What we can heal from is awesome, but we need to heal emotionally too. Be good to yourself and good luck!

Yes- my friend and I both went through a detox program that inlcuded nutritional supplements, accupuncture and massage therapy. It was helpful but the therapist was someone we knew and trusted completely. I also recommend Kris Carr's webiste and book The Crazy Sexy Diet.

I have spent time at Kriplau at Yoga Retreat in Berkshires near Lee Ma. I find that the simple food, yoga, mediation, and healing arts (massage, energy work, etc) are really beneficial during and after treatment. You can look at the Yoga Journal site, they have listing for spas and retreats that offer yoga, holistic, etc spas and retreats. Good luck.
