I had Y-90 on the right lobe of my liver on Nov. 24, 2015. The scan on Feb 24, 2016 appeared as if the huge 7 cm tumor had shrunk. (The large tumor was pressing against my rib cage which caused much discomfort. That discomfort is gone now.)

However, there were about 9 new small (around 1 cm in size) across both the right and left lobes (previously there were none on the left lobe). That was a shock to me and so I'm not sure the Y-90 worked or not, but the doc says it did. Maybe that large tumor broke up into the smaller ones?

On April 12, 2016 I had the y-90 done to the left lobe to see if it will kill off the new tumors. In a couple months I'll have a new scan to see if it worked.

Did you have it? or are you scheduled to have it done? Keep us posted and best wishes!

My 84 year old father had the procedure done with positive results. Inoperable large liver tumor has continued shrinking after 3 years.
