Has anyone had a hemorrhoidectomy w/biopsy after undergoing pelvic radiation treatments?

It has been nearly 1 year 4 months since finishing treatment for stage 2 anal cancer. I have been experiencing all symptoms as before initial diagnosis. The Dr. has scheduled the hemorrhoidectomy to remove hemorrrhoids w/biopsy of questionable thickened area where treated previously. I am concerned about healing of radiated tissue.

Join the ANALWISE group in COLONTOWN on facebook. Friend me, Jeannie Di Carlo-Wagner, on facebook and I'll add you to the group. There are 900 colorectal survivors and we have a group in the virtual 'town' that just has anal cancer. Good luck!

I was cut up prior to being burned and poisoned.

I did not have a hemmorrhoid .. the docs were incorrect. For 13 years a squamous cell carcinoma "fooled them".

I do hope for your sake it is nothing. to be honest with you, and what else can I possibly do, I would not go through a repeat performance of what they diod to me.

      There are other ways.

Hi, sorry for my delay on a response? Have you already had the biopsy? I had that as well after radiation. Healing for me was about 2days, understanding that everyone doesn't heal the same.
