Has anyone had experience with moving/changing oncologist during treatment or followup?

We live in AZ. My surgery will be in Oregon, since we are here for the summer. I have asked the oncologist to refer me to an oncologist in the Phoenix area for followup.

I had my first surgery, treatments, etc in Memphis. After getting the OK that I was supposedly "cured" we left memphis and moved back home. I had my follow up s at a more local dr's office, on a yearly bases. Then after several years, started seeing another on an every 5 year basis. They just got a copy of all my records, and would do a blood test and chest x rays. Wasn't a big deal for me.
