Has anyone had the drug Irinotecan instead of oxyplatin as part of the infusion cycle for advanced rectal cancer?
Disease spread from local area to upper abdomen lymph nodes which became active following Neoadjuvant Chemo and Radiation. Surgery now off the table and new rounds of Chemo scheduled with this new drug.

Hi..my husband's had cancer removed from colon (clear there) but had spread to lung. He was on oxyplatin and they changed him to Irinotecan. He is now on that and Erbitux. We know of many other colorectal patients on this drug, and with success.
