Good luck, Steve.
My dad had cancer in both his liver and lungs, but they turned out to be two different types of cancer. The lung cancer was a non-small cell, and a secondary liver cancer came from the pancreas.
Has anyone had the experience of Primary liver cancer spreading to the lungs? I go in for a cat scan next week to confirm.
I had a 15lbs. tumor removed for my liver in Oct. They took out 5 nodules in my lung and 1 had cancer in it. I started Nexavar in Feb. I have 15 more nodules left in my lungs. They dont know if there is cancer in them or not. I take the nexavar just in case. My scans show no growth or new nodules. Iv cut my dose of nexavar in half to two pills a day. Right now Im taking a month off from treatment with the dr's blessing.
Yes, it appears so. I just posted to my timeline that our daughter will be going in for surgery to remove a 5mm nodule in her lungs. The surgery will be exactly six months since she had liver resection surgery (70% removed). She was diagnosed with primary liver cancer in July of 2011. Her doctors indicated that it is somewhat common for liver cancer to spread to the lungs. We won't know for sure until they perform a biopsy of the nodule after the surgery.
Best to you.
