Has anyone had trouble getting gabapentin scripts filled?

My pharmacist said that it has been moved to the controlled substance list. I've not had problems yet but asked about the future and the pharmacists just said: "we'll see".

I am having trouble with muscle relaxers, my neurologist won't fill them anymore and pushed it back to my PCP to fill, she has no clue why I was even on them or their purpose pertaining to me. It was because of the Lipitor giving me cramps when I was put on them.

I get my Gabapentin through mail from the pharmacy vendor. I was able to refill my 90 days -- I'm about half way through. We'll see what happens in a couple weeks when I call back in for my next refill...

Gabapentin is an old drug, that was basically replaced by lyrica. I do not know why that drug would be getting bogged down.

Many other medications are getting stuck in the system and docs have to fight to get them approved. All of the drugs in the valium family are harder to get, muscle relaxers are harder to get, and of course pain medicine is harder to get, For cancer patients that is approved, but in my area the pharmacies are having q lot of trouble having stock for the patients. It can take up to 2 weeks to get pain medication at some of the walmart pharmacies here because they are not allowed to order enough to cover the patients and volume they usually have.
