    Has anyone told you that you need to stop using a microwave because they cause cancer?

    Has anyone told you that you need to stop using a microwave because they cause cancer?

    I've heard that one a few times from some of my well meaning friends or family. Here is another article that proves that it's not true.

      I don't use one to cook, only to reheat leftovers. I also use only microwave safe glass and/or plastic. I don't find it changes my food in any way, since I only reheat.

      Just to be safe I wouldn't use a Microwave but if you have to stay ten feet away.

      I use ours to reheat a few things. Not much really, but I have no fears whatsoever about it being a cancer-causing machine. If you look hard enough you can find an article or a study that says that anything causes cancer. Sometimes you need to look at who paid for the study and take that into consideration before you start throwing away whatever it is that was supposed to be causing cancer.
