This is an interesting article about a Chaplain at a hospital who routinely counsels patients and their families when death approaches. You can read the article here http://bit.ly/2IplouX There is also a few audio clips from CBC radio.

I am listening to a Webinar through Texas Oncology Foundation right now on this very topic: https://www.texasoncologyfoundation.org/programs/survive-thrive-webinar/archive. I plan to write a blog or two around it.

It is especially pertinent to me today as my friend I went to Israel with is likely to not make it through the night tonight. Thanks for the link!

I have considered it, planned for it, and recently watched my next door neighbor die after I helped him try to get through treatment.

It is a difficult subject, but our perspective changes over time as we get more in touch with the fact of our own mortality. Supportive programs for families and patients are really a good thing, so thank you for posting.
