Highest likelihood of recurrence in 3 years. When does this start?
Onc said with triple neg, highest recurrence is 3 rather than 5 years. Is that stat tied to dx, after chemo, after radiation?

Hello. I believe the baseline for that is the time of diagnosis. That's probably what your oncologist is talking about. That's a good question for the National Cancer Institute http://www.cancer.gov/global/contact

I searched some of the journal articles, and it does look like it says three years after diagnosis, then risk starts to drop off after that, in those studies. It makes sense to me that they would use the time of diagnosis. As long as the people who wrote those journal articles know what they're doing, that's what it says.
