    Hormonal therapy

Why is everybody saying progressing despite Hormonal Therapy? Is it not a good way for treatment..

Progressing means you have become Hormone Resistant. They refer to it as HrMPC as in Hormome Resistant Metastatic Prostate Cancer. It's at that point that other drugs like Zytiga, enzaludamide, and others start being used to prolong life by slowing the cancer down.

      Hope that helps

If you thread the above answers together, you will get the picture: I believe mgm48 has the most direct and accurate response. I am on Zytiga/Lupron at this point due to the failure (in my case) of Casadex/Lupron HT therapy.

I just met a man who has been on hormone therapy successfully for a bit over twenty years. We talked about lots of stuff but what we both agreed on was that there's a whole lot more to being a real man than seeing Johnson salute. Even though I'm hormone resistant I continue to use the hormone therapy. Not doing so as I understand it would cause more rapid growth and a shorter life. I got some stuff from my wife that says "Real men cook" and that's just one of the things we smile about. We made it 44 years and the last few have been some of the best. So when someone says they don't want to be on hormone therapy for long I'd suggest they rethink their priorities.
