I don't know what your cancer symptoms are, but the most common symptoms of UTI are pain or burning when you urinate, feel like you have to urinate often, but not much urine comes out when you do, belly feels tender or heavy, urine is cloudy or smells bad, If the infection is in the kidney rather than or in addition to the bladder, you may experience kidney pain, fever and chills, nausea and vomiting. .

I have rectal cancer and my urinary system is totally messed up from the radiation treatments. Burning, urgency, spasms, not emptying, etc. I just finished my radiation last week and hope that my bladder and urethra will forgive me and heal up nicely.

I'm currently on almost continuous pain medication to deal with the extreme discomfort.
