It was a good week. Watched my sweet granddaughters three days this week. I switch off with the other grandma so some weeks I have them 3 days and the next week I have them 2. It works out well for all of us. And the 6 month old is learning to use baby sign language. So cute. I'm truly blessed that we all live in the same town and that we can be part of their lives.
Tonight is the Polish dinner sponsored by the Knights of Columbus at our church. I look forward to this all year. Fun night with family and friends. And the pirogis, the Polish sausage and all the rest are so good! It is the perfect end to the week.

Got routine scan results. All is still stable, praise God.

Just landed in Warsaw, on the way to Tel Aviv. Will be in Israel for the next 8 or 9 days. Traveling with a friend who also has stage 4 lung cancer.

I have something to celebrate!! For years I've had my CT and MRIs every 3 months. My CT of Nov. 7th showed a number of new nodules in the lower lobe of my right lung. For a long time, I've had 1 in my left lung but it has been a stable 8mm. The original one there of 3mm had disappeared quite some time ago. These new ones just threw me for a loop. All I could think was "this is it", the beginning of the end. My Oncologist is great, especially since he could see the fear in my eyes. He decided to change my chest CT to every 2 months instead of 3, I had my new CT
last week. The radiologist is always so good with me because he knows I don't live in that town so he stats the results to the Dr. They are always there within an hour and so am I. I could not believe the results. There was nothing showing in my right lung anywhere. NOTHING! I was so relieved and about fell apart over the good news. So, yes, I am celebrating.

cllinda - I'm so happy you are enjoying your grandaughters. Savor it. They grow up too quickly
LiveWithCancer - I'm so glad you are realizing your dream. Both of you, have a safe and healthy trip.
