Hello, My name is Carm and I am an oncology/end of life nurse and maybe I can direct you to a resource that can answer your question. Im not sure of the first part of the question that you asked but there are 4 stages to prostate cancer. I f you want to learn more about the disease or the regimens to treat it, may I suggest that you go to a website called chemotherapy advisor which address is chemotherapyadvisor.com and to the right of the page, a little ways down is a section titled regimen and drug listings. Under the heading of genitourinary cancers you will find prostate cancer treatment regimens. If you want to know more about the disease itself, at the top next to home is the cancer types tab. Again go to the genitourinary cancers to locate prostate cancer. Bookmark this site, it is a very useful tool, not just for professionals. It is a free site to join and you will find the resources and information priceless. Good luck and if you need any clarification on anything, I am here. Carm

Hello. I have stage 2 prostate cancer and I found a good book from the American Cancer Society called Complete Guide to Prostate Cancer. It covers just about every aspect of prostate cancer. It has section devoted to hormone therapy. I found a copy at my public library and borrowed it. I found it new and used for purchase on amazon.com. It is well worth reading. I wish you the best in your journey.

Thank you very much for the answer Carm. By stages (I think this is not the best word, sorry...) I mean how many different hormonotherapy drugs exist (I know Lupron, bicalutamida, others ???). I will go into the link you suggested and if have something more you can clarify to me I will ask. Best wishes for you (From Illinois ???).
