    I am already on Social Security. Is there any reason to apply for SSI? I am 65.

      I think your social security is your ssi? If you want to call them and ask, you have nothing to lose. I doubt that you will get any more assistance.

      It depends. If your total income, including your current SS benefits, is more than $2000/month, you wouldn't qualify for any additional SSI benefits. If it is less than that, you might.
