Chemo is very personalized based on the type and stage of cancer and the overall health of the patient as well as the type, number and dosage of drugs. I had full chemo treatments every 3 weeks with a pretty high dosage of 3 different drugs. For the intervening weeks I had only one of the drugs for targeted therapy. After 18 weeks of those treatments, I am down to only the targeted drug in a higher dosage every 3 weeks and will be starting radiation in a couple of weeks, most likely 5 days/week for about 4 weeks.
