    I am no longer homebound!

The wound care specialist has officially released me from care. I'll be wearing a dry dressing for awhile yet. She said probably I should be healed enough to do without it by Thanksgiving. Thought I'd share my good news. I've come a long way since the end of June and that stupid wound vac!

Shelby, I am so happy for you. It constantly amazes me how things like a cancer journey (or a pandemic) humbles us. I was housebound for 3 months during chemo. When my immune system recovered and I could go out for walks, all the neighborhood dogs raced to me and wanted to be friends. I think my gratitude for the small joy of being able to be outside and walking was so palpable that the dogs recognized it. I hope your joy is so evident that you are welcomed to the world again, as well.
