I have been reading about my Thyroid cancer and trying to figure out the meaning of my staging, and the difference. I would like to know

What is the difference in the staging. I will post each question seperate so we can keep the answers together for that stage, if you don't mind. It will help me sort throught the information.

    What does Stage I mean

In general (as opposed to thyroid specifically, as some cancers stage unusually), Stage I means that the cancer has not spread beyond the primary site -- ie, if it's ovarian, it hasn't left the ovaries.

It depends on the cancer. I'm not going to answer this as 4 different questions. A simple google search will give you all the info you need. Here is one site that breaks down all the possible stages for thyroid cancer.

This link talks about the types, stages and treatments I found it helpful. But always consult with your doctor becuase it is an individual issue when they do stage and personal health can also affect prognosis.
