My home page says it's looking mighty bare?

Yes, the experiences are on your page, but those are generally used more as personal journal and are only accessible by those who either follow you or search for you by your user name. If you have questions or topic you would like to discuss, this (the questions tab) is normally where that is done since everyone sees the list of questions when clicking on that tab.

Well NeeNee, I saw this question but haven't seen any others. I am very new to the site myself so maybe I just missed them.

I am not sure if I am answering the intention of question. But if you are wondering how you can assure whether your experience is shared or, in other words, you are visible in the community try the following:
      1) Subscribe the digest
      2) Follow the questions you are interested
      3) Answer the questions to what interests you.
      4) Post the question by yourself
      5) If you find somebody you are interested, try to contact them directly
In short, unless you are actively participate in the discussion, people usually do not respond to you or people do not notice your existence in this community. Your post is noticeable only when you answer other people's questions or somebody is following your posting.

I actively follow questions which interest me, and I found 2 friends with whom I correspond personally, and they gave me lots of valuable information and incredible support.

Hi NeeNee, I am also being treated lung cancer. I am 64 years old. I am going on Monday to have a port put in. I have never had chemo only surgeries. I don't know what to expect yet,Mine has spread to the lymph nodes in the center of my chest. I would love to stay in contact since it looks like we have a lot in common,
