I'm curious about your treatments, did you have radiation and chemo at the same time?

And how many chemo and how many radiation, same time or not? My doctor talks about doing both at same time, that seems like it would be rough.

I had chemo and radiation at the same time. 4 rounds of chemo, 30 rounds of radiation. My cancer had a high likely hood of spreading. It wasn't easy, my radiation was to the chest so I had esphogeal pain towards the end of my radiation. The side effects of radiation woild be different for your kind of radiation. Dont be afraid to take your anti nausea meds. If you question your doctor a second opinion never hurts.

Mine was chemo first, then radiation. The second diagnosis was chemo only, the third diagnosis was radiation only.

I had immunotherapy- radiation - immunotherapy. My medical oncologist said getting both radiation and immunotherapy at the same time made the side effects of each worse.
