I think "Cyber Monday" was the perfect invention for cancer patients to do their Christmas shopping.

How about you? Do you take advantage of being able to sit in your own home, warm, no crowds to fight, no need to risk getting trampled or pick up someone else's germs? All you have to do is point and click. Will you be shopping tomorrow, online, in the comfort of your recliner?

I do! The year I started chemo, I have my daughter my credit card and let her shop online. I was too sick. Now, I love cyberMonday! Perfect way to shop. Kohls, Michaels, Target and Amazon are my best buddies this time of year. Shopping online is great for those who are dealing with health issues.

And as for germs, it's way more sanitary to shop online.
As a side note here, I went to church this morning and the lady behind me was coughing so much that I left half way through. I guess I'm still a little cautious about germs.

I shopped online for Black Friday (which actually started on Thanksgiving ... at least at Sam's Club). They all run together these days!

My son already has his Christmas present. I have been buying from several catalogs for several years. So sometimes I buy by phone specially when I have questions and it sort of makes shopping personal. Othertimes when I see something in the catalog I just buy it online. Then the companies I buy from started to offer specials through email notifications. That is how I got my son's Christmas present. It was 50% off plus free shipping on a 4 hour sale. Before malls became the thing, I used to like going shopping. I usually did all my Christmas Shopping before Christmas. It used to be that shopping was personal, a clerk would help you make selections. Now in Department Stores the clerk is behind a cash register and you are on your own. So I get my personal attention from the phone clerk.

I have to agree. Although my wife with the Amazon addiction has almost gotten all Christmas shopping done already.

I was inpatient for chemo last Thanksgiving weekend. I don't remember for sure if it was Cyber Monday or Black Friday, but I did almost all my Christmas shopping online from the hospital. I wouldn't have been able to go to stores, so w/o online shopping, I couldn't have done any shopping at all for last Christmas.

I do - I just don't have the desire to deal with crowds and wait in line to check out. Honestly, people talk about online shopping hurts retailers, but it helps so many people. Rural people who now have access to products that were unavailable, handicapped people who can't drive or go shopping, older people who are homebound - online opens the world for many people.

One thing I do miss about shopping from home. Is the decorations and before the malls the store windows were beautiful.

Jane, you forgot one category of people, those like me who are lazy, or just don't want to tolerate being in a crowded store asking salespeople for information about a product that they can't tell you anything about. So I like sitting on the couch and shopping.

I do. I got my Christmas list in order yesterday and got a lot accomplished. Every now and then I think I want to go and shop in the stores but I always get frustrated. Can’t find what I am looking for or the right size. So on line is much easier.
