What I have found to deal with metallic taste is eating things with a little acidity is you don't have mouth sores. Some examples are lemon juice on salads a vegetable, use a straw for soup and liquids to by pass the taste buds. Also drinks like cranberry and lemon lime and sparkling sodas that's are citrus really help with meals.

I had found that beef was the most metallic tasting. I have enjoyed chicken - the taste if that seemed the same. I also would rinse my mouth with a water solution of salt and baking soda. I also enjoyed spaghettios.
I would go every third week and the metallic flavor would fade. No fun. Hope this helps a little.

Use plastic instead of metal utensils. I use to drink milk with whatever I was eating and that seems to help food taste not quite so metallic.

I found that I was able to eat spicier foods. The extra spice seemed to cover up the metallic. If you like spicy foods, you may give this a try. Good Luck!!
