I've seen a few conversations about this, some people are all up in the air about using terms like "fight, battle, war" etc.

It doesn't bother me in the least to call it a fight. He$$ if it wants to kill me, I'm going to fight it, aren't you?? So, I have been in a fight, if I keep going like I am, I intend on winning the whole war. What are you in? What do you call it, just "having cancer"?

I am in a fight, on a journey, whatever. I am amazed by what people get upset over (for instance, getting upset over calling it a fight or war).

I find myself confused over what to call it, so as not to offend the sensibilities of some people. What offends one, another likes, but that that one is offended by something else. Sheesh.

@Ih25 I, too, used laser swords and photon bombs to rout the cancer.

I think of this as a fight or a war. With all we have to go through, dealing with surgeries, med side effects, fighting our insurance companies....we are fighting. If some people do not like that allusion, that's fine, but for me this is the battle of my life.
