    If you are still having some side effects after hysterectomy then how do doctors do monitoring after surgery?

      I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you mean follow up with the surgeon to insure that your incision is healing? What side effects are you referring to (bleeding, wound healing, pain)? Or do you mean periodic follow up with oncologist to check for recurrence? Which ever is the case, there should be no problem with any follow up monitory of either your surgery or your cancer.

      I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago. The surgery went fine and I just followed my doctor's instructions. Because my cancer is hormonal based, I could not have hormone replacement therapy, so I had the typical hot flashes for awhile. It passed. To me, the followup radiation treatments were far more uncomfortable that the surgery. I received CAT scans every 3 months for several years. Hope this helps.
