      Dear HardyGirl,

I'm a (retired) Medical Librarian. My daughter is a Paramedic who's in Nursing School and considering becoming pre-med. My ex-husband is a physician. My niece is a doula. I have a friend who's a licensed Masseuse and my girlfriend is an amateut herballist who ran an herbal business. I must admit that I'm not sure what a holistic nurse is/does? Can you expound on that? I'm assuming her services were not acquired through the Private Duty Nursing office of your hospital? Did she use herbal medicine? I think I/we (i.e., the community here) need more information before we can begin to respond other than for me/us to say "no, I didn't have I holistic nurse visit me in the hospital." I'm assuming you wanted us to comment with more than a simple "yes" or "no". In order to do that we need information.

It's good to hear she was helpful with your pain though.

      Warm Wishes,

I see a massage therapist/raki master regularly as well as my chiropractor to help manage pain and healing. It really really helps mange physical and emotional pain.
