    Implant size

I know that this is a personal decision, but I'm interested in knowing how you arrived at your new implant size? It is so hard to judge the size with the bulky expander in there.

My expanders were filled to 400cc and it was too much so PS took 50cc out...I think those are the correct numbers... MY first set of implants were high profile 300cc and I hated them....they were too big for what I wanted....had some problems due to radiation and at the second fix I had PS swap them out for smaller ones and mid profile. In clothes I look fine...like a small chested woman. After I had the second fix, my gf told me I looked like the old me...the best compliment!! I think a lot depends on how big or small you want to be and of course your frame. All the best to you...

My PS explained that the implants don't protrude like a real breast. They're more round. I thought he was filling my expanders too much but I ended up with a C cup which is perfect for my frame. Like Karen1956 said it depends on the size of your frame, how tall you are and of course how big you want to be. Best of luck to you.

I left it up to my plastic surgeon. He and his staff had done this a thousand times, and he knew what would look best with my frame. I knew I wanted to be smaller, but ended up with the same cup size. However, without gravity's side effect, my new breasts are just right. It took many months for me to get over the feeling that they were foreign objects, but here I am, four years later feeling good...and comfortable about myself.

I ham like Judytjab, my PS filled mine and put in an implant larger than I expected. However, I am just a B cup and the saline implants are definitely rounder. He also explained he made me look more in line with my height and weight. They are definitely smaller than the real ones--I was a D

Sounds like you all had good luck with implants, I'm debating having this done and am afraid of infection, pain, etc. Mastectomy on left size, small A cup on right, just can't make the decision. I want to, but afraid of surgeries if not really needed.

Suemartin, I know how you feel about additional surgeries. I felt the same way and is why I didn't do the nipple surgery. Instead, I had the 3D nipple tattoos but if you really want it done, it definitely won't be as painful as the mastectomy you already went through bc all the nerves have been cut. The exchange surgery from expanders to implants was so easy....done as outpatient. I'm very happy with my implants and haven't had any problems. The key is to get the very best plastic surgeon in your area. Like SusanK said it takes a while to get used to them but it's been a year now and I'm comfortable with them and so glad I did it. Let us know if you decide to go through with the surgery.

I got silicone implants 9 months ago. I was expecting to look as good as Kim Kardashian:) I don't. The implants make my clothes fit better, but naked - they are wavy and cold as ice. I also have extra skin/fat on the outer sides that my PS couldn't do anything with. The scars are still dark pink, though I've been told they will fade to white over time. I'm happy I did it, but sad my fantasy didn't match reality.

I was a 44 DDD. Very hard to find bras that fit right. So after my surgery and I saw the plastic surgeon I wanted to be smaller. Living with large breasts killed my back and neck and I could not find clothes that fit right because of it. So now I am 44D and I am real happy with that.

I also was a D cup size that really never "fit" my body. I got the largest C implants they make and I loved them. I lost both due to infections....now I have custom made "girls" so can wear them if I want or not. They actually look better under my clothes then my implants did. Since they were custom I got a small C and got "perky" ones. I am actually comfortable with my flat chested body that it doesn't bother me to go grocery shopping without the girls on. You may not have to much of a choice of what size implant they put in. I had to have the large C implants because insurance paid for ones to match the ones taken out so I didn't have a choice for anything smaller then that. It really is a personal decision and what ever you pick will be right for you.
