      Hi futuredreamer,
Is this discharge thick, odorous and discolored or is it thin and watery? There can be a few reasons why this happens but a common reason is a tear in the vaginal cuff especially if you have recently had a hysterectomy. If you have intercourse too soon especially post radiation when vaginal stenosis can occur a small tear in the cuff can develop. If this is the case then it can be repaired easily in an office visit or in a quick sameday surgical procedure. If it isn't a tear in the cuff, you could also have a vaginal infection. In either case, please let your oncologist know so that it can be treated accordingly. Best of luck to you, Carm RN.

@carm, it is thin and watery. It is the symptom I experienced to realize something was wrong and had cancer. Before I was diagnosed with cancer, my regular gyno checked to determine cause and prescribed my the "norm" meds before performing a transvaginal ultrasound and seeing the mass in my uterus and then sending me to the gyno oncol for a byopsy. After diagnosis, I went thru external and internal radiation and chemotherapy and currently on my third round of chemo but still experience the discharge. As of cancer isn't bothersome enough, the discharge is annoying reminder.
