Interferon treatment - anyone use a peripheral IV?

Has anyone used a peripheral IV for interferon treatment - the kind they leave in for 5 days at a time, not a pic-line. How did it go? Was it easy to change clothes, shower, do life, etc.?

I had one in for 4 days because my veins are difficult to get to. Once you get used to it, it isn't too bad. My nurses always taped it down and put a sleeve on so that it wouldn't get caught on clothing. Also couldn't get it wet and had to be kept dry. I would wrap it in plastic wrap for showering. If you haven't already I would consider a pic-line. I had one put in after the first week of treatment and it made it so much easier.
