I understand Tykerb targets Her2 in a pill form, I was on Herceptin. I've read that "super Herceptin" known as tdm-1 is extremely effective, even in women previously treated with Herceptin. I believe an application has been submitted to the FDA, but in the meantime you could sign up for clinical trials?

I was on Xeloda, 3 tablets morning and 3 tablets evening along with daily radiation. Side effects were very minimal compared to things I've read others go through. Eating was a bit of a problem, nothing tasted good and the smell of cooking food brought on nausea. Bland food (mashed potatoes) was best for me. Also sucking on peppermint hard candy helped. Have been off for 3 weeks now and slowly returning to normal eating habits.
