Is there any triple negatives out there? I would be interested in hearing from you and how you cope.

I'm still trying to get my life back together and I do worry that I'm kind of doomed for lack of a better word that the cancer will be back sooner rather than later. I finished all my treatment Aug 21st. I have terrible chemo brain and joint pain from being thrown into menopause, I'm 53. I think I have a hard time connecting on websites because I can't remember names very well. I am new to this site and not all up on hiw it works since I'm not real computer savvy. :)

You don't need to be triple negative to have the concerns and side effects that you do. Pretty much all of us are in that same boat, so welcome to What Next. As for the menopause, the timing may suck, but I don't think that cancer treatment caused you to be thrown into menopause. The majority of women begin menopause between the ages of 45 and 50 whether or not they have had cancer treatment.

I am being treated for Metastasized TNBC and Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma. I agree with nancyjac, worrying about side effects is part and parcel of being treated for cancer of any type. I went through menopause before I started chemo. I suspect you were entering that phase of your life when you started treatment, and based I my experiences it only made it worse. I started having hot flashes again last year. I can only imagine how uncomfortable the manifestations of menopause combined with similar side effects from chemo were.

The side effects of chemo suck <-----(I bet they XXX'd that out..lol). I had chemo brain pretty bad when I finished, about 10 months ago. It's a lot better now. Still have neuropathy. I think it may be getting better but it still has a LONG way to go!!
