We are all here for pretty much the same reason. I joined WhatNext shortly after I was diagnosed last fall. Even though I have had the support of family and friends and a great team of doctors, there have been many times when I needed to talk to someone who actually had cancer and understood first hand what I was needing to talk about.

I've found that I can say just about anything here and people will respond honestly and with compassion and support. You can post questions here or on your own home page wall, even start a blog on your experiences, fears, and concerns that others can respond to. You can also add people to your following list to make it easier to find them and keep up with them.

I am always available to anyone who has questions, concerns or just needs an ear. I am a great listener :)
I compare cancer to being in an alternate reality. Its difficult for someone who hasn't experienced this particular roller coaster ride to understand. But there are some positives as well as the negatives and one of those is the people you will meet that are on this same ride. We all care so much for each other. Take good care. Tracy

I felt the same way, that I was in a bubble that no one wanted to talk about or could understand. It has been a few months since your post and I am hoping that you have found the support you need, but I have found that sometimes the battle after can be as hard as during. I had thyroid cancer about five years ago and am here if you still need to ever talk! Best of luck!!
