Some complementary services are scientifically proven beneficial. People use acupuncture to help w/neuropathy from chemo, for example. I hate to see people throw away money, but it's their choice. And personally, I feel if they are using it in conjunction w/traditional treatment and isn't something that would interact with that treatment, all the power to them. Sometimes positive feelings help, and if a possible placebo is making the good endorphins fire, who am I to say otherwise. It's the folks that dump traditional for snake oil that scare me.

I watched one of the endless murder shows. One of these millionaire alternative cancer treatment CEOs murdered her boyfriend.

While in prison, she developed cancer, and she refused normal cancer treatment. The prison doctors kept trying to get her to accept normal care, but she used her own method of cancer treatment. She died from a cancer that is easy to treat and has a high survival rate. She kept saying that since her cancer didn't respond to her treatment, that her cancer wouldn't respond to chemo.

I recently saw an update about this. Her clinic is still open with clients getting treatment.
