Just finished my 2nd of 8 rds of chemo. Was having a great night with my family and all of a sudden pain struck my hips, buttock & thighs.

Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to relieve the pain and how long did it last?

You have to endure so much pain physically, mentally, and emotionally.Try to call your oncologist office, talk to the nurse, let them know what is going on,I'm sure they will prescribe you with a strong pain medicine the same day you call.

Did you have a neulasta shot? If so, that is what the pain is from, not the chemo. Keep moving as much as possible. It goes away on its own in a couple of days.

I had one or two nights after chemo treatment where the pain in my hips was so bad, I could not get out of bed. Some muscle relaxers and Advil usually did the trick.

Sounds like bone pain from the neulasta shot. Usually kicks in within 8 hours or so. Try taking Claritin before, during, and for a couple days after the shot. It worked for me with my final treatment. Good luck!
