Just wondering about the usual length of chemo treatments everyone has had

It looks like I will have 12 rounds of chemo, then check for results, maybe more after that, may be done. How many do you get for your type of cancer?

There is no such thing as "usual," I don't think. I've got friends with lung cancer who have been getting chemo infusions for years. :( I have others who haven't gotten but a few treatments.

I am in for about 6 months so far. I expect to be in for a year or so, depending on results, of course.

Hmmmm...well, it was two months involving 5 drugs followed by two months involving 3 additional drugs followed by immediate relapse which lead to a clinical trial drug and 64 twenty-eight day cycles of that, followed by a second relapse which lead to 2-3 cycles in a clinical trial followed by 2-3 cycles of two other drugs followed by three cycles of a three drug experimental combo, followed by a stem cell transplant. For seven years I was in constant treatment. Post-transplant, it is now almost four years in constant treatment for Graft-versus-Host-Disease.

What is it like to be out of treatment??? :-D
