This link is for our page for Leiomyosarcoma, to get you started. This is a rather rare cancer, I will look around the web to see if I find some others for you.

Hi Stephanier, I am responding to you because there don't seem to be many of us with exact diagnosis. I am 55, sarcoma 3, second occurrence diagnosed 12-12 (first occurrence misdiagnosed as begnign from hysterectomy pathology report 1-12). Second occurrence is 8 x 11 primary tumor plus 4 small tumors located in retroperitoneal in sygmoid loop. I had 4 infusions of taxotire and gemzar chemotherapy that shrunk my tumors over 30% Jan, Feb, March 13. My small 4 tumors don't show now on scans and my primary tumor is now small enough not have to have a colostomy when surgey is performed . Today will be my 8th of 25 IMRT radiation treatments. Surgery is next step.

I have stage IV uterine leiomyosarcoma. I just recently celebrated 5 years since diagnosis. I've had 3 major surgeries, including the initial hysterectomy, a total of 2 1/2 years of chemo, 4 different ones. Getting ready for my 4th surgery.
